I just returned home from the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C. and it was an experience of a lifetime that I will never forget! Regardless of what is propagated in media reports, the atmosphere was filled with a joy and exuberance that is beyond description, even outweighing that of Times Square on New Year’s Eve!
I definitely felt a shift in the spiritual realm, that of darkness not only lifting but being shattered by light, truth, and freedom. Personally, I felt joy and hope unspeakable with a confidence that I, as well as you, can actually make a difference in this country. I witnessed that freedom of religion has been returned to us for this grace period and our voices will not only be heard but actually welcomed!
Later that evening, I pondered why I had been so blessed to have the opportunity to attend the gala and inauguration. I sensed from the Lord a heavy responsibility to now exhort the body to put our hands to the plow, and make an unwavering commitment to the work that lies ahead of us. We truly have been given a joyous grace period, but not so we can sit back and rest. On the contrary, God is calling you to establish a firm position in the trenches of spiritual warfare, taking your stand to partner with Him in what He wants to accomplish at this time. We must use every moment of this grace period to take back ground in this country that the enemy has stolen.
In order to do this, you must learn to focus your eyes on the unseen. For example, in this current transition of presidential power, a fierce, dark, retaliating force exists in the heavenly realms to “kill, steal, and destroy” this new reality of light, truth, and freedom that I have described. It seems that every demon has been summoned to duty in this particular battle, and there is no limit to the intensity and perversity of their attack.
The only effective weapons you can use in this battle are spiritual weapons of warfare, such as prayer and fasting. It is imperative that you are disciplined in this grace period to intercede on a daily basis for:
- our new president, his family, and leadership team
- for their salvation and intimacy with God
- to have open hearts and minds to His truth and guidance
- for spiritual and physical protection
- for God’s wisdom in all decisions and actions
- that the enemy’s schemes would be stopped in their tracks
- that the spirit of deception would be bound in this country, and
- eyes would be opened to God and His truth.
