When I teach on the Millennium, I cover 13 different ways that you can begin building Yeshua’s Millennial reign NOW. One of these ways is fighting for righteousness, and I believe the Lord is calling you to act NOW on a very significant issue!
The enemy wants to deceive you into thinking that this world is just “too far gone,” and that there is nothing you can do to make a difference, so why even try. You might as well just go about your daily life hoping that Yeshua comes soon to take you away from this madness.
However, God’s heart and plan for the Millennium is that Yeshua will rule from His throne in righteousness, and you will rule and reign with Him, implementing righteousness in every sphere of life. The righteousness you fight for now, will continue on into the Millennium. It’s not wasted effort! Luke 19:17 tells you: “if you are faithful in very little things (what you CAN do now), you will be in authority over ten cities!” What you do today does matter in the Millennium!
So what is God calling you to do NOW? He is calling you to pray and fast for the Supreme Court decision regarding same-sex marriage. Last Tuesday, April 28th, preliminary hearings were held. A final decision is expected in late June on whether or not allowing same-sex marriage will be a federal law, which would then force states to redefine marriage regardless of how they voted on this issue. This means you have the next two months to commit to praying and fasting: that the veil would lift from the Justices’ eyes, that their eyes would be opened to see the truth; to break demonic deceptions rooted in lies of the enemy; to send the Holy Spirit to convict and reveal truth to the hearts of these Supreme Court Justices.
It is absolutely critical that you wield your spiritual weapons of prayer and fasting at this time, for this cause. The matter is way beyond whether same sex couples should have the right to marry. In fact, if this becomes a federal law (regardless of what the states want), it will reach into your very own right to exercise freedom of religion and speech. I truly believe this will be the official start of wide-spread persecution of believers in this country.
If the right for same-sex marriage becomes codified in federal law, this could eventually lead to: imprisonment for voicing scriptural truth about marriage in your homes, workplaces, schools, universities, places of worship, television and radio programs; children could possibly be taken away from parents who share with them a scriptural view of marriage; those who believe in a biblical view of marriage could very well lose their jobs or ministries; ministers could be forced to perform same-sex marriages or else lose their congregations.
Are YOU ready to stand with Yeshua through all of this and risk losing your job, finances, even children? A difficult question to behold, yet that is what may be on the horizon if we don’t wake up and start fighting for righteousness – FIRST in the spiritual realm through intercessory prayer and fasting, and second in the physical realm through helping to make others aware and voicing your opinions with your representatives and in social media.
It breaks my heart to see how far from the truth and constitutional rights for freedom of religion and speech our nation has strayed. My father fought valiantly in the Army in World War II Europe for our freedoms. Personally, I will not allow the risks that he took with his own life, as well as all of the others who have risked and died for our freedoms, to go for naught.
It is time that we as a body of believers need to wake up, get informed, and start fighting for righteousness. As Edmund Burke so powerfully wrote “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” I truly believe that’s how we have gotten to our current state that even 10 years ago would have been unimaginable. Don’t buy into Satan’s lie that nothing you can do will make a difference. The same power that rose Yeshua from the dead lives in you (Eph 1:19-20; Rom. 8:11). Start wielding your spiritual weapons of prayer and fasting. Fighting for righteousness now will not only impact your life today, but in the Millennium to come!
Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; Gather the people…assemble the elders…afterward I will pour out My Spirit … (Joel 2:15-28)
