Applying 10 themes of Rosh Hashanah to my daily life!  Day 2:  Rosh Hashanah is the anniversary of the 6th day of creation – when Adam and Eve were created in the garden, and it celebrates God as creator.  God is the creator of everything in the universe, including you and me! Knowing that should give us great confidence, reassurance and boldness!

First, because He creates everything with a purpose, WE were created with a purpose which I explained in Day 1 – to experience intimacy with Him 24/7; to know Him and to show forth His life to others. Second, since He created us, He knows, understands AND cares about every single detail about us (Matt. 10:30) – how we are made, how we think, how we feel, every little minute detail!!!  Third, as creator, He is THE master at making all things new (Rev. 21:5)! There is nothing in our lives that is hopeless or beyond repair, He specializes in restoration, regeneration, turning what appears void and empty into a beautiful design.

Fourth, He spoke the world into existence (Ps. 33:6,9).  Being made in His image, we have the power to speak life into a person or situation or we can speak death. The power of life and death is in the tongue (Prov. 18:21), so let’s be aware of the power of our words!!  And finally, as creator, He can call the things that are not as though they were (Rom. 4:17) and being made in His image, so can we!

Instead of criticizing and dwelling on what’s wrong with ourselves, others, our situations – let’s align our thoughts and words with what God’s intentions are, what His Word says, and call the things that are…not yet as they were meant to be…as though they were!  Be encouraged!  L’Shanah Tovah! “For a good year!”
